Hi there! My name is Maria, and I’m originally from the lovely city of Genoa. It’s also where I met my dear Swiss partner, Markus, many moons ago.

Over the years, Genoa has become just as much his city as it is mine. Even though we’ve spent time living in Switzerland and various other places, we consider ourselves true citizens of the world – embracing the idea that “nobody is a stranger.” This outlook has inspired us to warmly welcome visitors to our city and our homes. We love seeing Genoa through the fresh eyes of first-time visitors and the warm familiarity of those who return, always maintaining a connection with us. It’s a wonderful way for us to grow and evolve.

Markus and I have many interests that we’re passionate about, and we thoroughly enjoy sharing them with our guests. Markus is a talented photographer – all the pictures you see here were captured by him in Genoa, showcasing the curiosity and attention of a traveler, even in his adopted hometown. As for me, I’ve been in charge of furnishing and renovating our apartments for years, reflecting my idea of a home filled with well-being and positive energy.

With friends and contacts from all around the world, Markus loves to chat and share his in-depth knowledge of our city with anyone curious about its many hidden gems. As for me, I adore dancing – tango and salsa, to be specific. I’ve been doing it for years, and I often pack my dancing shoes and set off to explore new cities in Italy and beyond, dancing the night away. As a dancer, I love the idea of offering the same opportunity to fellow dance enthusiasts visiting Genoa.
